Job Title: Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer - Apple Product ExperiencePosition Overview:

As an RF Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and optimzing the radio frequency (RF) performance of our products, with a focus on wireless technologies commonly used in Apple devices (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5G, NFC, etc.). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality and performance of RF components in mobile devices, wearables, and other consumer electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

1. RF Design & Optimization: Design and optimize RF circuits, systems, and components for next-generation products, ensuring high performance across Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, 5G, NFC, GPS, and other wireless standards commonly used in Apple products.

2. Wireless Performance Testing: Conduct comprehensive RF testing and validation, including range, throughput, interference, and signal integrity, to ensure optimal wireless performance in diverse real-world environments.

3. Integration with Apple Ecosystem: Apply knowledge of Apple-specific RF engineering practices and technologies to integrate wireless solutions within Apple's ecosystem (iOS, macOS, watchOS, etc.) and across Apple product lines (iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, etc.).

4. Interference Management: Troubleshoot and resolve interference, signal degradation, and performance issues, ensuring that wireless solutions meet stringent Apple standards for reliability and efficiency.

5. Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with hardware engineers, software teams, product managers, and quality assurance to ensure seamless RF integration into new devices.

6. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of RF performance, design specifications, test results, and analysis. Provide technical documentation and reports for internal teams and stakeholders.

7. Compliance & Certification: Ensure all RF designs comply with regulatory standards and certifications (e.g., FCC, CE) and support certification processes for wireless technologies.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Experience:

1. 3+ years of hands-on RF engineering experience, with a focus on wireless technologies used in Apple products (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G/5G, NFC).

2. Proven track record of designing, testing, and optimizing RF systems in mobile or consumer electronics, preferably in the context of Apple's wireless ecosystems.

Technical Skills:

1. Strong knowledge of RF circuit design, antenna design, and system-level RF integration.

2. Expertise in RF measurement tools (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes).

3. Familiarity with wireless standards and protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5G, NFC, etc.).

4. Experience with RF simulation and modeling tools (e.g., Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS).

5. Experience in performance optimization for power efficiency, data throughput, and signal integrity.

Apple-specific Expertise (Preferred Qualifications):

1. In-depth understanding of Apple's product line, including iPhone, iPad, AirPods, Apple Watch, and their wireless components.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Database Design & Management:

Collaborate with the product development team to design, implement, and maintain scalable database schemas that meet business and application requirements.

Develop and maintain data models, ensuring consistency and optimal performance.

Design tables, indexes, and constraints for high data integrity and performance.

Performance Tuning & Optimization:
o
Analyse slow-running or poor performing queries and optimize performance through proper indexing, query restructuring, or caching mechanisms.

Conduct performance tuning, including tuning the PostgreSQL parameters for optimal database performance.

Work on improving database performance, scaling database operations, and addressing bottlenecks.

Cloud Database Management (AWS Aurora PostgreSQL):
o
Manage and administer AWS Aurora PostgreSQL clusters, ensuring high availability, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
o
Optimize the use of cloud-based resources in AWS Aurora to ensure cost-effective and efficient use.
o
Monitor and maintain database systems in cloud environments, ensuring data security and availability.

Ensure that the database architecture complies with organizational security policies and best practices.

Experience:

Over 7 to 11 years of technology experience working in a multi-national company.
