The role of DGM - Finance & Accounts is to oversee and manage the financial and accounting operations of the organization. This position in the transport & distribution industry requires expertise in financial planning, budgeting, compliance to ensure seamless operations and IPO readiness.

Job Description

  • Manage and oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure full compliance with Income Tax, GST, Companies Act, FEMA, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Play a key role in IPO readiness, Private Equity transactions, due diligence processes, and investor reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial health and stability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimise financial performance and cost management.
  • Lead the preparation of financial statements and audits.
  • Analyse financial data to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance and accounts team to enhance efficiency.
  • Treasury operations, Forex management and freight hedging.
  • Global tendering and international financial exposure incl. multi currency accounting.

The Successful Applicant

A successful DGM - Finance & Accounts should have:

  • Professional qualification - CA
  • ERP implementation and management experience
  • IPO Process and PE exposure
  • FEMA compliance experience
  • Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and compliance within the transport & distribution industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
  • Experience in managing a team and leading financial operations.
