Prior to PageGroup, where were you and what were your specialisations?

After completing my engineering degree, I worked for about ten months in a technical role with HCL Technologies Limited and decided to pursue my MBA in Human Resources from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS ). During this time, I received an opportunity to intern with Mercer Consulting, which gave me an opportunity to explore the consulting world.
Immediately after my MBA, I was selected on campus to be a part of the PageGroup Sales and Marketing team in the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector.

Why did you join PageGroup and what does your role consist of?

While I was pursuing my MBA, I realised that even though I really enjoyed studying Human Resources, I was never too inclined towards working as an Industry HR officer and consulting was in sync with my career aspirations.
Joining PageGroup was due to a mix of the job profile, the meritocratic environment, success stories from my alumni and various opportunities that PageGroup could offer. The job gave me a chance to be in a client-facing role, which I enjoyed and also to contribute to the success of the organisation through sales.
In my current role, I am a Manager heading the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector, managing a team of three consultants.

How have your past experiences helped you in your current role?

My internship with Mercer provided me with exposure to stakeholder management at various levels, client engagement and how to manage expectations, all of which have greatly benefitted me at PageGroup.

What have been your greatest accomplishments during your time at PageGroup?

I started with Michael Page three years ago in the Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS) sector, at a time when this business had no consistent revenue or clients providing recurring business. Over the last few years, I have consistently increased our presence in this market, with contracts signed, first placements made & recurring business created with most large healthcare companies including MNCs and Indian organisations.
Besides the portfolio, there have been a number of significant commercial wins with our first ever PPO execution and an increased number of senior-retained jobs on the portfolio. HLS is also now one of the leading revenue contributors for other disciplines.
Over the last two years, I have been in a people management role and have supported my team in building their skillset and successfully promoted one team member to a Senior Consultant.
