The Vice President - Cloud Security (Engineering & Operations) will own and mature the organization's cloud security strategy across a complex, multi‑cloud environment, serving as the single point of accountability for securing cloud infrastructure, platforms, applications, and data. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring deep technical expertise, strong risk judgment, and the ability to guide the enterprise through high‑impact security decisions.

Job Description

  • Own and evolve the enterprise cloud security strategy, roadmap, and architecture aligned with business objectives and regulatory obligations.
  • Define and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and guardrails across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
  • Design and maintain defense‑in‑depth architectures, including identity federation, network segmentation, and workload protection.
  • Lead and optimize CNAPP capabilities (CSPM, CWPP, CIEM) and oversee container and Kubernetes security.
  • Own cloud Identity, Access, and Data Protection, including IAM, PAM, encryption, key management, DLP, and least‑privilege access.
  • Build and lead a cloud‑focused incident response capability, including forensics, threat hunting, and automated containment.
  • Integrate cloud telemetry into SIEM/SOAR platforms and run tabletop, red, and purple team exercises.
  • Ensure compliance with major frameworks and regulations (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST, CIS).
  • Lead audit readiness, third‑party cloud risk management, and cloud BCDR security controls.
  • Develop and retain a high‑performing cloud security team across architecture, engineering, and operations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, regulators, and cross‑functional technology teams.

The Successful Applicant

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in information security, with 5+ years focused on cloud security.
  • Expert‑level knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP security services and shared responsibility models.
  • Proven experience securing large‑scale, multi‑cloud environments in complex enterprises.
  • Strong background in 24x7 security operations, incident response, and cyber defense leadership.
  • Hands‑on experience with CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, CIEM, CASB, and modern security tooling.
  • Deep understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, NIST, and related frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, multi‑layered teams (including vendors) and manage senior‑level escalations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Cloud and cybersecurity certifications strongly preferred (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, AWS/Azure/GCP Security).
