The Tech HRBP will work closely with senior technology leadership to design and execute people strategies aligned to business goals. This role requires strong experience partnering with engineering, product, QA/automation, data, AI/ML and other next‑gen technology teams, along with the ability to operate in a dynamic, fast‑scaling setup.

About Our Client

Our client is a fast‑growing organisation building a high‑density Product & Technology hub in Bangalore. With an existing base of ~100 technology employees and significant scale planned over the next 12-24 months, the company is creating a dedicated Tech HRBP role to partner closely with engineering and product leaders.

Job Description

Strategic HR Partnering

  • Act as the primary HR partner for technology teams across Product, Engineering, QA, Automation, Data and related functions.
  • Work directly with senior tech leaders to define org structures, capability plans and workforce strategies.
  • Drive culture‑building initiatives tailored to a product and engineering environment.



Talent Planning & Development

  • Build and execute talent development frameworks, including career paths, technical competency models, and succession planning.
  • Partner with business and L&D teams to design upskilling programmes for tech talent.
  • Strengthen leadership capability within engineering teams through coaching and structured interventions.



Performance & Rewards

  • Manage performance cycles end‑to‑end for tech teams, ensuring fairness, calibration and alignment with business priorities.
  • Collaborate with compensation teams to ensure competitiveness for niche and next‑gen skill sets.



Employee Engagement & Experience

  • Drive engagement through structured check‑ins, skip‑levels, manager coaching and sentiment analysis.
  • Identify and address employee concerns proactively to ensure a strong and inclusive team culture.
  • Build mechanisms to retain high‑performing tech talent in a competitive market.



The Successful Applicant

Must‑Have Experience

  • 12-18 years of HR experience, with strong exposure to HR business partnering for technology functions.
  • Proven success partnering with engineering/product teams in dynamic and innovation‑led environments.
  • Deep understanding of the tech landscape, talent behaviour, career motivators and industry benchmarks.



Background Preferences

  • Experience in product organisations, SaaS companies, tech startups, digital businesses, or engineering‑driven firms.
  • Not seeking candidates from traditional IT services or large outsourcing environments.



Skills & Attributes

  • Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence senior technology leaders.
  • High emotional intelligence, maturity and ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Data‑driven approach; ability to leverage insights for decision‑making.
  • Hands‑on, proactive and comfortable operating in a scaling environment.
