This is a hands-on Plant HR Head role responsible for driving end-to-end HR for a large manufacturing plant in Vizag. The mandate is to stabilize HR operations, manage workforce dynamics, and build foundational HR systems in a low-maturity setup.

About Our Client

Our client is a mid-sized, high-growth manufacturing organization with operations across multiple plant locations. The environment is operations-heavy with evolving HR maturity, offering an opportunity to drive meaningful on-ground impact.

Job Description

  • Lead HR for ~400 employee manufacturing site; support an additional ~120 employee location
  • Manage a team of 4-5 HR professionals and anchor all plant HR activities
  • Drive core HR operations (attendance, payroll inputs, compliance, audits) with rigor
  • Handle employee relations, grievances, and shop-floor discipline directly
  • Manage contract workforce (technicians, electricians, fitters) and vendor ecosystem
  • Stabilize HR environment and ensure smooth workforce functioning in a non-unionized setup
  • Build and implement basic HR systems, policies, and governance frameworks
  • Work closely with plant leadership to drive people effectiveness and operational continuity

The Successful Applicant

A successful Plant HR Head should have:

  • Fluency in Telugu (read/write/speak) - Mandatory
  • Strong experience in plant HR within manufacturing setups
  • Extremely hands-on, with high shop-floor presence
  • Solid understanding of HR fundamentals and statutory compliance
  • Experience managing contract labor and local workforce dynamics
  • Execution-focused profile, comfortable in low-structure environments
