About Our Client

Our client is one of India's largest Cold Storage and Controlled Atmosphere facility operators. They have a fully integrated cold chain from farm to retail with Pan-India marketing and distribution network.

Job Description

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of import/export documentation in compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • Facilitate customs clearance procedures, including the submission of required documentation and liaison with customs officials.
  • Collaborate with CFS personnel to coordinate the movement and storage of containers, ensuring efficient handling of shipments.
  • Communicate with shipping lines and freight forwarders to coordinate shipment schedules, documentation requirements, and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Obtain necessary licenses for Bill of Entry filing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with survey agencies to facilitate cargo inspections and surveys as required.
  • Utilize company software systems for tracking shipments, updating records, and generating reports as needed.
  • Work closely with the finance department to facilitate foreign payment transactions related to imports, ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures.
  • Drive digitization of processes of imports/exports.

The Successful Applicant

  • A degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field
  • 15+ years of work experience in import/export operations
  • In-depth knowledge of import regulations and compliance requirements
  • Strong knowledge of EXIM procedures, customs regulations, FTWZ/EOU processes, and export documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain supplier relationships
  • Experience in logistics planning, warehouse coordination, and CHA management
  • Proficiency in using logistics management software and tools
  • Good commercial understanding, attention to detail, and regulatory compliance orientation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
