Job Description

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Coordinate with internal functions to support adherence to applicable regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Facilitate governance reviews and tracking mechanisms related to regulatory and statutory compliance processes.
  • Support management of inspections, regulatory visits, notices, escalations, and external authority interactions.
  • Partner with functional teams including EHS, Manufacturing, HR, Finance, and Legal to ensure timely closure of regulatory actions and commitments.



Government Relations and Advocacy:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Maharashtra state authorities, district administration, local governing bodies, industrial authorities, and relevant central government agencies.
  • Engage proactively with government and regulatory stakeholders to support smooth business operations and timely resolution of external matters.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess potential impact on business operations.
  • Represent the organization in external meetings, industry forums, and stakeholder engagements.



Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local communities, village representatives, local influencers, and external stakeholders around plant operations.
  • Support proactive engagement and resolution of local community issues impacting business continuity and organizational reputation.
  • Drive initiatives that strengthen community trust and long-term stakeholder relationships.



Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):

  • Lead and execute CSR initiatives through the CSR Foundation aligned with organizational priorities and community needs.
  • Identify and implement impactful programs in partnership with NGOs, local communities, and external agencies.
  • Ensure effective governance, monitoring, and reporting of CSR initiatives and related statutory requirements.



Issues Management and Crisis Response:

  • Support management of external stakeholder issues, regulatory escalations, and sensitive community matters.
  • Coordinate cross-functional support during external crises or reputation-sensitive situations.
  • Develop stakeholder communication approaches aligned with organizational priorities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Manager / Associate Director - Government Affairs & CSR should have:

  • A degree in Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in government relations within the FMCG industry, preferably in the food sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage CSR projects effectively.
  • A solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and policy-making processes.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Fluency in Marathi is madatory.
