Collection Strategy & Governance* Develop and implement Board-approved collections and recovery policies aligned with RBI regulations and internal governance frameworks.* Define collections strategy across buckets including soft collections, hard collections, recovery, legal, and write-off management.* Establish strong governance around collection practices, agency management, escalation mechanisms, and customer communication.* Drive portfolio segmentation and bucket-wise recovery strategies for secured lending products.2. Portfolio Monitoring & Delinquency Management* Monitor delinquency trends, PAR movement, roll rates, and collection efficiency metrics across all business verticals.* Drive reduction in overdue portfolio, NPAs, and credit losses through proactive recovery strategies.* Ensure timely action on Early Warning Signals (EWS) and high-risk accounts.* Review SMA and NPA accounts regularly and implement corrective recovery action plans.3. Recovery & Legal Management* Oversee recovery processes including settlement, repossession, legal recovery, arbitration, SARFAESI, and enforcement actions wherever applicable.* Coordinate with legal, credit, and business teams for effective resolution of stressed assets.* Monitor legal recovery performance and agency productivity.* Ensure proper documentation and regulatory compliance in all recovery activities.4. Regulatory Compliance & Audit* Ensure collection and recovery practices are aligned with:RBI Fair Practices Code (FPC)Outsourcing GuidelinesRecovery Agent GuidelinesCustomer grievance handling standards* Lead interactions with Internal Audit, Statutory Auditors, RBI Inspectors, and Compliance teams on collection-related observations.* Ensure timely closure of audit findings and regulatory observations.5. Process Improvement & Analytics* Drive digitization and automation of collections processes through analytics, dashboards, predictive models, and technology interventions.* Develop MIS and collection performance dashboards for leadership review and Board reporting.* Improve productivity, turnaround time, and operational controls across collections functions.6. Leadership & Team Management* Build and lead a high-performing collections and recovery leadership team across regions.* Strengthen capability building, training, succession planning, and performance management within collections teams.* Foster a strong performance-driven and compliance-oriented collections culture.7.
