This is a strategic HR deal advisory role responsible for leading workforce transition and people-related workstreams across outsourcing, managed services, business transformation, and M&A initiatives in the Asia Pacific region. The incumbent will partner with business leaders, deal teams, legal stakeholders, and HR leaders to assess workforce risks, conduct HR due diligence, and develop employee transfer and integration strategies. The role requires expertise in employment regulations, employee relations, workforce restructuring, and change management across multiple countries. Additionally, the individual will support commercial deal activities by evaluating workforce costs, liabilities, and retention strategies to enable informed business decisions. Success in this role requires a combination of HR leadership, deal advisory experience, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in complex, cross-border environments.

Job Description

Workforce Transition & Deal Advisory

  • Lead workforce transition workstreams for outsourcing, managed services, transformation, and acquisition opportunities.
  • Develop workforce transfer and integration strategies aligned to commercial and operational objectives.
  • Assess people-related obligations, risks, and liabilities during pursuit and transition phases.
  • Advise deal teams on workforce structures, talent retention plans, and change impacts.
  • Support client negotiations on workforce-related matters.



HR Due Diligence & Risk Assessment

  • Conduct workforce due diligence during acquisitions, divestitures, and outsourcing transactions.
  • Assess employee populations, compensation structures, benefits, leave liabilities, and workforce costs.
  • Identify employment-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate labor law implications and employee transfer requirements across multiple markets.



Employee Relations & Employment Compliance

  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, workforce restructuring, redundancies, and employee transfers.
  • Partner with legal teams to navigate complex employment regulations across APAC.
  • Support consultations, workforce communications, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Ensure workforce solutions are aligned with local labor laws and organizational policies.



Commercial & Financial Advisory

  • Quantify workforce-related costs, liabilities, and transition investments.
  • Support deal pricing, business case development, and financial modelling.
  • Provide workforce insights that strengthen overall deal competitiveness.
  • Evaluate retention, harmonization, and integration scenarios to support decision-making.



Workforce Integration & Change Management

  • Develop workforce integration and onboarding strategies following deal closure.
  • Lead employee engagement and communication initiatives during transitions.
  • Support organizational design, culture integration, and change management activities.
  • Drive successful workforce mobilization and stabilization post-transition.



Executive Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with senior business leaders, HR executives, legal counsel, and external advisors.
  • Present workforce risk assessments and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Influence strategic decisions through data-driven workforce insights.
  • Build strong relationships across global and regional stakeholder groups.

The Successful Applicant

  • 15+ years of experience in HR, Workforce Transition, M&A HR, Employee Relations, HR Consulting, or Deal Advisory.
  • Strong experience supporting outsourcing, managed services, shared services, or business transformation initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of employment legislation and workforce regulations across Asia Pacific.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-country workforce transitions and integrations.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate workforce-related financial implications.
  • Proven stakeholder management and executive influencing capabilities.
  • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
