The Head-Plant HR is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions for all plants at the location. This role ensures alignment with organizational goals by managing recruitment, employee relations, compliance, training, performance management, and other key HR processes. The role is pivotal in fostering a productive, compliant, and engaged workforce at the plant.

Job Description

1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

*Manage end-to-end recruitment for the plant, including blue-collar and technical staff.

*Collaborate with line managers to forecast and plan workforce requirements.

*Ensure a smooth and structured onboarding process for new hires.

2. Employee Relations

*Act as a liaison between plant employees and management to promote a harmonious work environment.

*Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution in accordance with labour laws.

*Maintain positive employee relations.

3. Compliance & Labor Law

*Ensure statutory compliance related to labour laws, factories act, ESI, PF, gratuity, etc.

*Coordinate with legal advisors and government agencies during inspections and audits.

4. Performance Management

*Implement and monitor the performance appraisal process at the plant level.

*Support department heads in setting KPIs and conducting performance reviews.

5. Learning & Development

*Identify training needs and implement learning initiatives for skill and competency development.

*Maintain training records and track training effectiveness.

6. HR Operations

*Oversee attendance, payroll coordination, and HRIS data accuracy.

*Manage accurate employee database, documentation, and recordkeeping.

7. Engagement & Culture

*Organize engagement activities, reward and recognition programs, and communication forums.

* Drive initiatives to improve morale, productivity, and retention.

The Successful Applicant

*

15-20 years of experience with an engineering degree (any stream) and MBA degree (any stream).

*

Strong understanding of labour laws and factory compliance.

*

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

*

Problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities.

*

High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

*

Ability to deal with Senior Leaders of the organisation.
