About Our Client

Our client is a fast-scaling deeptech company building AI-powered developer tools for hardware-first, regulated industries.With strong early enterprise traction and a product designed for embedded and systems engineering workflows, we are entering the next growth phase: owning and scaling revenue within the automotive vertical.We are looking for a founding sales leader to build and own this vertical from the ground up.

Job Description

1. Territory & Pipeline Development

  • Map the global automotive software tooling landscape (OEMs, Tier 1s, semiconductor players)
  • Build pipeline from zero through outbound, inbound, and partnerships
  • Own the full sales lifecycle from first interaction to deal closure



2. Enterprise Deal Execution

  • Lead technical discovery discussions with engineering and architecture teams
  • Position differentiated capabilities (e.g., hardware-aware tooling, AI-assisted development, on-prem solutions)
  • Structure and negotiate complex deals including pilots, enterprise licences, and multi-year agreements
  • Navigate procurement, legal, and executive-level alignment



3. GTM & Market Intelligence

  • Feed customer insights back into product and engineering teams
  • Shape go-to-market strategy and refine Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP)
  • Build and manage channel partnerships with system integrators and ecosystem players
  • Represent the company at global automotive and software-defined vehicle events



The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Automotive Sales should have:

  • 12+ years in enterprise software sales, with strong automotive industry exposure
  • Proven success closing 6-7 figure deals in technical or developer-focused products
  • Understanding of automotive software ecosystems (AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, SDV platforms, etc.)
  • Experience selling into global markets (Europe, North America, APAC)
  • Ability to hold technical conversations with engineering leaders
  • Familiarity with modern pricing models (SaaS, consumption-based, enterprise licensing)
