Job Description

1. Financial Reporting & Consolidation

· Lead finance operations for the organization, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Project Accounting, Fixed Assets Accounting and GL accounting.

· Review trial balance for accuracy and completeness on a monthly basis.

· Oversee and ensure timely and accurate monthly MIS reporting and Dashboard to management.

· Review plant-level costing and profitability performance on monthly basis.

· Analyse and review P&L statements, identifying key variances and business drivers.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

· Drive the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting for the Group.

· Lead preparation of budget plant-level, and consolidation at group level in alignment with overall organizational goals.

· Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analysis with actionable insights.

3. Costing & Profitability Analysis

· Oversee product costing methodologies and ensure accuracy.

· Lead the preparation of detailed cost sheets for products including material, labour, and overhead allocation.

· Calculate and review actual product costing on a monthly basis and analyse variances against standard costs.

4. Processes, Controls & Compliance

· Design, implement, and continuously improve financial processes and internal controls.

· Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

· Review and validate regulatory filings submitted to relevant regulatory authorities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

5. Taxation

· Led end-to-end tax compliance across GST, TDS, and corporate tax, ensuring full regulatory adherence and audit readiness with tax team.

· Drive input tax credit (ITC) optimization and tax-efficient procurement strategies to improve working capital.

· Supervise tax team in GST audits, assessments, and notices, effectively minimizing financial exposure and ensuring timely closures.

6. ERP & Systems Management

· Oversee implementation, optimization, and maintenance of ERP systems.

· Ensure data integrity, system efficiency, and alignment with business needs.

· Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives in finance.

7. Stakeholder Management and Team Leadership & Development

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business decisions.

· Act as a key finance partner to the CFO and Managing Director.

· Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful GM- F&A should have:

  • Professional qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in financial management within the Industrial / Manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience leading teams and managing cross-functional collaboration.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking abilities to drive financial performance.



Familiarity with financial software and tools.Qualifications and Experience:

· Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification.

· 15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

· Strong experience in financial reporting, consolidation, ERP systems, and product costing/pricing.

· Proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
