A leading global organization is seeking a seasoned Country HR Head who will also oversee HR leadership across the Indian subcontinent (India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh). This role requires a strategic HR leader with proven experience managing multi-country operations, driving organizational transformation, and partnering closely with business leadership.

Job Description

  • Lead the end-to-end HR function for India, while providing strategic oversight for Sri Lanka and Bangladesh
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, aligning HR strategy with organizational objectives
  • Drive talent management, workforce planning, and leadership development across geographies
  • Manage multi-country HR operations, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and global standards
  • Support the establishment and scaling of a greenfield project, including capability building and organizational design
  • Handle complex stakeholder management, both internal (leadership, global HR) and external
  • Build a strong people culture, focusing on engagement, performance, and retention
  • Lead and mentor regional HR teams, ensuring consistency and effectiveness in HR delivery

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 12+ years of HR experience, with a strong track record in multi-country HR leadership
  • Prior experience managing India along with Sri Lanka and/or Bangladesh is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated capability in stakeholder management and business partnering at senior levels
  • Strong exposure to manufacturing / industrial / project-led environments, preferably with greenfield experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and drive change and transformation initiatives
  • Willingness to relocate to the outskirts of Chennai over time
