The role of an Application and Automation Engineer requires a professional with strong expertise in developing and implementing automation solutions in Microsoft 365 tailored to meet client needs. You will be responsible for mapping and documenting data and information flows across business functions, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and implement improvements in line with the company's agreed IT architecture and under the guidance of the Head of IT.

Job Description

The Key responsibilities include-

  • Define and implement overall IT architecture in partnership with the Head of IT and key stakeholders
  • Drive system implementation, integration, and improved data/information flows across business functions
  • Identify and deploy automation and AI use cases to improve efficiency and decision-making
  • Ensure controlled, compliant deployment of AI tools aligned with regulatory and governance standards
  • Manage AI licenses and track benefits, usage, and value realization across the organization

The Successful Applicant

A successful Application and Automation Engineer should have:

  • Degree in a relevant IT field, preferably with specialization or modules in AI
  • 5+ years of experience in AI, automation, and advanced IT tool deployment (renewables experience preferred)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, OT/SCADA systems, and AI-driven cybersecurity
  • Proven background working with IT in an operating renewable energy environment
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, culturally aware, fluent in English
