Key Responsibilities

1. Legal Leadership & Governance

*

Lead the overall legal function for group entities, managing the complete legal portfolio including litigation, contracts, compliance, and advisory support.

*

Act as a strategic business partner to senior management, providing pragmatic legal solutions aligned with organizational objectives.

*

Establish and implement legal policies, processes, and risk management frameworks across business units.

*

Coordinate with external counsels, advisors, and global legal teams to ensure consistent and effective legal support.

2. Litigation & Dispute Resolution

*

Represent and manage matters before High Courts, NCLT, arbitration tribunals, and other judicial/quasi-judicial forums.

*

Oversee drafting of pleadings, affidavits, and legal submissions; manage mediation and alternative dispute resolution processes.

*

Drive dispute strategy to achieve favorable outcomes while safeguarding commercial and reputational interests of the group.

3. Contract Management & Commercial Advisory

*

Draft, review, and negotiate high-value commercial contracts including supply, distribution, franchise, warehousing, and technology transfer agreements.

*

Ensure contracts are aligned with industry best practices, liability protection, risk allocation, and financial optimization.

*

Provide ongoing legal advisory support to business teams on contractual obligations and risk exposure.

4. Real Estate & Infrastructure Transactions

*

Lead legal aspects of commercial and industrial real estate transactions, joint ventures, development agreements, and large-scale warehouse and franchise projects across India.

*

Conduct title searches, property due diligence, and manage end-to-end documentation for acquisitions, leasing, and development arrangements.

*

Mitigate legal risks associated with land acquisition, zoning, and regulatory approvals.

5. M&A, Joint Ventures & Corporate Restructuring

*

Manage legal due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments, identifying key risks and exposure areas.

*

Structure transactions and draft critical documents including share purchase agreements, JV agreements, and investment documentation.

*

Support corporate restructuring initiatives and cross-border transactions.

6. Regulatory & Employment Law

*

Provide expert guidance on employment laws and sector-specific regulations including RERA, FSSAI, data protection, and technology licensing.

*

Review and draft employment contracts, HR policies, and compliance frameworks.

*

Ensure adherence to evolving regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.

7. Team Leadership & Development

*

Build, manage, and mentor internal legal teams to handle complex legal matters and high-value transactions.

*Allocate work, review outputs, and drive professional development within the team.
