Job Description

  • Lead the overall legal function, providing strategic legal counsel to senior management while safeguarding the organization's business, financial, and reputational interests.
  • Oversee end-to-end land acquisition legalities, title due diligence, property transactions, and risk assessment to ensure clear and marketable land titles.
  • Drive contract governance by leading the drafting, negotiation, review, and administration of key commercial, real estate, construction, financing, and corporate agreements.
  • Establish and monitor a robust legal and regulatory compliance framework covering RERA, land laws, corporate regulations, and project-related statutory requirements.
  • Manage litigation, disputes, claims, and external counsel relationships, with a focus on minimizing legal exposure and achieving commercially viable resolutions.
  • Support strategic transactions including joint ventures, acquisitions, investments, financing arrangements, and corporate restructuring initiatives.
  • Provide legal guidance for project execution, customer documentation, regulatory approvals, and stakeholder communications.
  • Develop an enterprise-wide legal risk management and governance framework, ensuring proactive identification, mitigation, and monitoring of legal risks.
  • Build and lead a high-performing, process-driven legal team, implementing SOPs, legal systems, digital workflows, and performance controls.
  • Partner closely with business leadership to balance legal protection with commercial objectives, enabling informed and timely decision-making.

The Successful Applicant

  • 15+ years of legal experience, preferably within real estate, infrastructure, construction, or property development.
  • Strong expertise in land acquisition, title due diligence, real estate transactions, contracts, litigation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven experience leading legal functions and managing large legal teams.
  • Exposure to corporate transactions, JVs, M&A, financing, and governance matters.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, risk management capabilities, and stakeholder management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable legal processes, governance frameworks, and high-performing teams.
