The Technical Support Engineer - Pneumatics and Process AutomationYou will join a global competency centre, focused on supporting clients in selecting the best pneumatic automation products for their needs. In this role, you will be responsible for selecting and appropriately sizing pneumatic components based on client requirements.

Job Description

* Support customers remotely to troubleshoot and commission their pneumatic and process automation systems

* Identify and resolve technical issues related to product malfunction / wrong installation / wrong parameterization, etc

* Responsible for solving customers and internal technical inquiries

* Select the proper components for the customer's Factory and Process Automation application

* Use technical features and parameters based on catalogue information to solve technical enquiries

* Keep an open communication with other Festo companiesworldwide to clarify customer-specific problems and technical details

* Participate actively in technical trainings

The Successful Applicant

A successful Technical Support Engineer - Pneumatics and Process Automation should have:

Degree in B.E/B.Tech in the field of Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics with 3 to 5 years of experience in Installation & commissioning, Application, Product/Technical support or similar roles

* Experience in product selection, BOM, simulation, and sizing

* Experience in customer interaction such as technical discussion, on-site/remote service

* Strong knowledge of products and applications in the field of Pneumatic and Process Automation

* Troubleshooting of pneumatic components and providing technical assistance to solve the problem

* Strong analytical skills to analyse, review and resolve customer support tickets

* Excellent written and verbal English communication

* Very good MS Office knowledge
