This role is responsible for leading direct and indirect material sourcing, supplier development, localisation initiatives, and cost reduction programmes for the India business. The successful candidate will drive sourcing strategy, ensure supply continuity, optimise spend, and collaborate with cross-functional and global stakeholders to support business growth.

Job Description

  • Lead sourcing activities across direct and indirect procurement categories.
  • Drive supplier development and localisation projects to strengthen the supply base.
  • Develop sourcing strategies focused on cost optimisation, risk mitigation, and capacity planning.
  • Manage procurement spend and deliver cost-saving targets aligned with financial plans.
  • Oversee material pricing management within ERP systems.
  • Partner with operations and S&OP teams to ensure supply continuity and production support.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring adequate supplier capacity.
  • Take ownership of commercial negotiations and strategic sourcing projects across the organisation.

The Successful Applicant

  • 15 to 20 years of progressive sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
  • Experience managing approximately USD 100 million annual spend.
  • Strong background within a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Science, or a related discipline.
  • Expertise in strategic sourcing and procurement leadership.
  • Strong supply chain and commercial acumen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MRP/Supply Chain systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, communication, and team development skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a global, fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.
