Job Description

  • Lead procurement activities supporting solar O&M to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
  • Execute end-to-end sourcing processes including RFQs/RFPs, techno-commercial evaluation, and contract finalisation.
  • Negotiate and manage AMCs, LTSAs, SLAs, and long-term supplier agreements for cost efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop and strengthen vendor ecosystem, driving supplier performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with O&M, Engineering, Finance, Planning, and HSE teams for demand forecasting and inventory management.
  • Monitor supplier KPIs (delivery, quality, compliance) and implement corrective measures when required.
  • Conduct spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, statutory regulations, and corporate governance standards, supporting audits as needed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful SCM Manager - Solar O&M should have:

  • 8+ years in procurement, with strong exposure to O&M procurement (solar/renewables preferred).
  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a reputed institute.
  • Strong understanding of solar O&M procurement, spares management, and service contracting.
  • Strategic sourcing, vendor development, contract negotiation, cost optimisation, and stakeholder management.
  • Technical Skills: SAP MM (ERP), Advanced MS Excel, Contract management and spend analysis tools
  • Strong analytical thinking, negotiation skills, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
