Job Description

  • Lead end-to-end procurement of electrical equipment and services for major power projects.
  • Develop sourcing and procurement strategies aligned with project timelines, costs and business objectives.
  • Manage procurement across transformers, switchgear, substations, transmission lines, motors, VFDs, UPS, cables and associated equipment.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts while ensuring commercial, legal and organizational compliance.
  • Oversee supplier performance, expediting, logistics, inventory and timely deliveries.
  • Lead critical commodity procurement, including conductors and emerging transmission technologies.
  • Analyze commodity pricing and market movements to mitigate supply and price risks.
  • Partner with engineering, finance and project teams while driving cost savings and supplier relationships.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience: 12-16 years in procurement and supply chain management within the electrical or power sector.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale procurement projects and complex electrical equipment categories.
  • Strong expertise in procurement strategy, contract negotiation, supplier management and SCM.
  • Sound technical understanding of electrical equipment used across power projects.
  • Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office Suite and procurement tools/software.
  • International procurement or overseas project exposure would be advantageous.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Advanced qualifications or certifications such as CPM/CPSM are preferred.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, communication and strategic problem-solving capabilities.
