Job Description

The Automation Team Leader will lead the design, development, delivery, and support of automation solutions across business processes. The role will manage automation delivery teams, work closely with business and technology stakeholders, and ensure solutions deliver measurable productivity, quality, efficiency, and business value.Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor automation developers, manage workload and priorities, allocate resources, and build technical capabilities within the team.

* Automation Delivery: Own end-to-end delivery of automation initiatives from requirement analysis, feasibility, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

* Process Assessment: Work with business teams to understand processes, identify pain points, and assess opportunities for automation, simplification, standardization, and process improvement.

* Technical Governance: Ensure automation solutions follow defined architecture, coding, security, documentation, testing, and deployment standards.

* Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with business users, process owners, Technology/IT, Excellence teams, and regional stakeholders to manage requirements, expectations, dependencies, and delivery.

* Portfolio Management: Track project milestones, resource utilization, risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery commitments across the automation portfolio.

* Solution Design & Review: Review automation solutions, provide technical guidance, conduct design/code reviews, and ensure scalable and maintainable solutions

Automation Platforms: Manage solutions across relevant technologies such as RPA, VBA/Macro, Power Automate, APIs, SQL, Web/Application Automation, and other digital automation platforms.

* Benefits Realization: Track and validate productivity/FTE benefits, cost savings, quality improvements, cycle-time reduction, and operational efficiency delivered through automation.

* Production Support: Ensure effective incident management, root-cause analysis, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement of deployed automations.

* Innovation: Identify opportunities to leverage AI/GenAI, intelligent automation, analytics, and emerging technologies to improve business processes.

* Governance & Reporting: Maintain appropriate documentation, dashboards, KPIs, risk registers, and leadership reporting for automation initiatives.

* Continuous Improvement: Drive standardization, reusable components, automation frameworks, and best practices across the team.

The Successful Applicant

We're looking for someone who has:

8+ years of relevant experience in Automation, RPA, Process Transformation, Software Development, or a related technology domain, with proven team leadership experience.

* Strong experience delivering end-to-end automation projects in a complex business environment.

* Experience managing developers and multiple concurrent automation initiatives.

* Strong understanding of RPA, VBA/Macro, Power Automate, SQL, APIs, Web/Application Automation, or similar technologies.

* Experience working with global/country stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

* Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, testing, deployment, production support, and technology governance.

* Experience in identifying and measuring automation benefits and productivity improvementsTechnology Skills

RPA | Blue Prism / Power Automate | VBA & Excel Automation | SQL | APIs | Web Automation | Jira / Confluence Knowledge of AI/GenAI, process mining, cloud technologies, and intelligent automation is an advantage.
