Job Description

Investment Research & Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth fundamental research on public and private investment opportunities across asset classes.
  • Analyze financial statements, business models, industry dynamics, and competitive positioning.
  • Build and maintain financial models, valuation frameworks, and investment theses.
  • Track and monitor portfolio investments, generating periodic performance reports and insights.



Market Intelligence

  • Stay updated on macroeconomic trends, market developments, and regulatory changes.
  • Prepare market summaries, thematic research notes, and investment briefs for senior stakeholders.
  • Identify emerging investment themes and opportunities aligned with the family's investment strategy.



Portfolio Support

  • Assist in asset allocation analysis and portfolio construction.
  • Monitor risk exposures, liquidity, and diversification metrics across the portfolio.
  • Support due diligence processes for new investments, including documentation review and data analysis.



Private Investments & Alternatives

  • Participate in due diligence for private equity, venture capital, real estate, and hedge fund investments.
  • Evaluate deal structures, GP track records, and fund strategies.
  • Coordinate with external advisors, fund managers, and consultants.



Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare clear and concise investment memos, presentations, and dashboards for internal review.
  • Support family principals and investment committee with data-driven insights.
  • Maintain research databases, deal tracking systems, and documentation repositories.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Research Analyst - Family Office should have:

  • A strong academic background in finance, economics, or related fields. CA or CFA is a must!
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, market research, or investment management.
  • Expertise in creating and interpreting financial models and data analytics.
  • Sound knowledge of the capital markets, venture capital and private equity sectors.
  • Proficiency in using financial tools and software. Including AI tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report preparation and stakeholder interactions.
  • A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
