The Vice President - Technical will play a pivotal role in overseeing the technical & operation aspects of our highway asset management operations. Support the CEO, the successful candidate will lead a team of engineers and technical professionals to ensure the optimal performance, safety, and longevity of our toll roads and bridges.

Job Description

  • Technical Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive technical strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives, including asset maintenance & rehabilitation plans.
  • Asset Management: Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair activities for toll roads and bridges to ensure compliance with concession agreement and codal provisions.
  • Asset Performance Optimization: Utilize data-driven insights and predictive analytics to optimize asset performance, minimize downtime, and opex reduction.
  • Innovation and Technology Integration: Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and best practices to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs and improve road user experience.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Support the CEO in working closely with cross-functional teams, government agencies, contractors and industry partners to coordinate project delivery, mitigate risks and address stakeholders concerns.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Monitor resource allocation, and procurement strategies to support strategic objectives while maintaining cost-effectiveness and recommend actions to the CEO.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of evolving regulations, codes, and standards related to transportation infrastructure, ensuring full compliance and adherence to best practices.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred in traffic / structures / pavement.
  • Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, asset management or infrastructure development, with at least 5 years in leading teams.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing BOT / TOT / HAM / highway projects.
  • Strong technical expertise in highway design, construction, maintenance and rehabilitation practices including bridges.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels.
  • Preferably familiarity with asset management software, GIS systems, and other relevant technology platforms.
  • Track record of achievement in safety, quality and environmental initiatives.
