Lead Quality Assurance and Quality Control for a high-volume fiber optic connectivity manufacturing operation, covering QMS, process, customer, supplier and product quality. The role will drive quality performance, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement across connectorization, polishing, testing and assembly operations.

The Bengaluru manufacturing operation focuses on high-performance fiber optic connectivity products, cable assemblies and structured cabling solutions and is scaling its manufacturing capabilities.

Job Description



  • Lead the Quality function across manufacturing operations, covering QMS, process quality, customer quality, supplier quality and testing.


  • Establish and continuously improve quality systems, procedures, control plans, PFMEAs, inspection standards and audit readiness.


  • Drive process quality across fiber optic connectorization, polishing, testing and assembly operations to improve FPY and reduce defects, scrap and rework.


  • Own customer quality management, including customer complaints, escalations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions and customer audits.


  • Lead supplier quality activities covering supplier qualification, audits, incoming quality and supplier corrective actions.


  • Drive NPI and product qualification activities including FAI, PPAP, validation, pilot builds and production readiness.


  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.


  • Build and develop the quality team while strengthening a data-driven quality culture across the manufacturing operation.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Quality Engineering or a related discipline, with 10-15 years of Quality experience in manufacturing, including 3-5 years in a Quality Manager or senior quality leadership role. Mandatory experience in fiber optic connectivity, cable assemblies or structured cabling manufacturing is required. The candidate should have strong hands-on exposure to fiber optic connector termination and connectorization, MPO/MTP, LC/SC/ST/FC products, UPC/APC polishing, IL/RL and OTDR testing, fiber harnesses, patch cords and trunk cable assemblies. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, 8D and customer/supplier quality is expected, along with experience managing quality teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Exposure to SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or other ERP/MRP systems would be advantageous.
