Job Description

  • Lead end-to-end Quality operations across incoming inspection, in-process quality and final inspection for aerospace and precision-machined components.
  • Drive process quality, dimensional accuracy and drawing compliance through effective inspection methods, process controls and measurement systems.
  • Lead technical investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective actions for internal defects, customer complaints and recurring manufacturing issues.
  • Manage customer quality interactions, technical clarifications, non-conformance resolution and corrective action commitments.
  • Strengthen supplier quality through incoming quality controls, supplier issue resolution and coordination with procurement and manufacturing teams.
  • Lead and develop a large Quality team, including managers, assistant managers, engineers and inspection personnel, while improving technical capability and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace quality standards, customer-specific requirements, traceability and documentation controls.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will hold a BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with 10-15+ years of Quality experience in aerospace, precision machining or other high-precision manufacturing environments. Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing is preferred, with candidates from automotive manufacturing also considered, particularly those familiar with IATF 16949. Knowledge of applicable quality management standards such as AS9100, AS9102, IATF 16949 and ISO 9001, along with the ability to implement customer-specific requirements and resolve complex shop-floor quality issues, is expected.
