Our client is a speciality chemicals manufacturing MNC with a strong presence across high-growth industrial applications, serving customers across sectors such as water treatment, paper, paints, mining and agriculture.

Job Description

  • Leading end-to-end procurement of raw materials, intermediates and speciality chemical feed stocks required for manufacturing.
  • Developing and executing sourcing strategies for key materials such as acrylic-based raw materials, nitrogen-containing chemicals and other process-critical chemical intermediates.
  • Managing international sourcing and imports, including supplier identification, commercial negotiations, supply planning and delivery coordination.
  • Owning quality, cost competitiveness and continuity of supply.
  • Monitoring global chemical markets, pricing and supply dynamics to identify cost Saving and alternate sourcing opportunities
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely availability and technical suitability of critical raw materials.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 10+ years of direct procurement experience in chemical raw materials/speciality chemicals
  • Hands-on exposure to imports/international suppliers, high-volume procurement and significant annual spends
  • Preferably a degree/diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Candidates from speciality chemicals, paints/coatings, water treatment, mining chemicals, agro-chemicals or other chemical-consuming manufacturing businesses will be relevant
