Job Description

  • Review and update privacy policies to meet compliance standards
  • Advise teams on data protection laws and regulations
  • Draft and negotiate data protection agreements
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments and risk analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on privacy initiatives
  • Monitor updates to privacy laws and ensure company practices align
  • Respond to privacy-related queries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Support training efforts to promote privacy awareness

The Successful Applicant

  • LL.B. degree from a recognized university; LL.M. specialization in Technology Law, Privacy Law, or related fields is preferred.
  • 4 to 6 years of post-qualification experience, with significant exposure to data privacy and technology law.
  • Experience advising on privacy compliance programs, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of the DPDP Act, GDPR, privacy regulations, and evolving data governance frameworks.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts with privacy and data protection considerations.
  • Ability to work independently and partner effectively with cross-functional business teams.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Certifications pertaining to Data Privacy will be preferred (ISO, CIPPE)
