We are seeking an experienced Plant Head to lead end-to-end operations of a high-capacity Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh. The role requires a strong leader with deep expertise in structural steel fabrication, manufacturing excellence, productivity improvement, and workforce management.

Job Description

  • Lead complete manufacturing operations of the PEB production facility.
  • Drive productivity improvements, plant efficiency, and capacity utilisation.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Oversee large-scale structural steel fabrication and manufacturing activities.
  • Manage production planning, resource allocation, and shop floor execution.
  • Lead and mentor direct reports while managing a workforce of approximately 150-200 employees.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimise manufacturing output and reduce operational inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to achieve business objectives and support future plant growth plans.

The Successful Applicant

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in a Plant Head or equivalent senior leadership position.
  • Proven experience managing large fabrication plants in the PEB or structural steel industry.



Industry Background

  • Must come from direct competitors within the PEB, structural steel fabrication, or structural manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication, welding, assembly, production planning, and plant operations.



Leadership

  • Demonstrated experience managing 150-200+ workforce and multiple functional heads.
  • Track record of driving productivity, operational excellence, quality, and safety improvements.



Technical Skills

  • Expertise in structural steel fabrication and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Operational Excellence, Quality Systems, and Industrial Safety practices.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems used in manufacturing environments is advantageous.



Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Additional certifications in Operations Management, Lean, Six Sigma, or Quality Management would be beneficial.
