This is a hands-on Plant HR Head role responsible for driving end-to-end HR for a large manufacturing plant in Vizag. The mandate is to stabilize HR operations, manage workforce dynamics, and build foundational HR systems in a low-maturity setup.

About Our Client

Our client is a mid-sized, high-growth manufacturing organization with operations across multiple plant locations. The environment is operations-heavy with evolving HR maturity, offering an opportunity to drive meaningful on-ground impact.

Job Description

  • Lead end-to-end HR for the primary manufacturing site (~400 employees) with oversight of a smaller secondary unit (~120 employees)
  • Manage a 4-5 member HR team and drive execution discipline across shifts
  • Act as the SPOC for all plant HR matters, partnering with plant leadership and line managers
  • Drive core HR operations (attendance, payroll inputs, onboarding, exits, audit readiness)
  • Ensure statutory compliance and manage audits and risk areas
  • Take ownership of employee relations on the shop floor, including grievances and discipline
  • Maintain a stable, non-unionized environment through proactive workforce management
  • Oversee contract labour management and vendor ecosystem
  • Stabilize and strengthen HR by building basic processes, structure, and governance
  • Maintain strong shop-floor presence as a hands-on leader

The Successful Applicant

A successful Plant HR Head should have:

  • 12-20 years of relevant HR experience, with strong plant HR exposure
  • Fluency in Telugu (read/write/speak) - Mandatory
  • Strong experience in plant HR within manufacturing setups
  • Extremely hands-on, with high shop-floor presence
  • Solid understanding of HR fundamentals and statutory compliance
  • Experience managing contract labor and local workforce dynamics
  • Execution-focused profile, comfortable in low-structure environments
