Job Description

  • Manage overall plant operations, including production, maintenance, and quality control functions.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimise efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry regulations across the plant.
  • Monitor production schedules and coordinate with various teams to meet deadlines.
  • Analyse performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians to achieve operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align plant activities with organisational goals.
  • Maintain inventory control and oversee procurement of necessary materials and equipment.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head Plant Operation should have:

  • A degree in engineering or a related field, preferably in mechanical or industrial disciplines.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in industrial manufacturing plant operations.
  • Proven expertise in plant operations within the paper/packaging industry or a similar manufacturing setup.
  • Strong understanding of thermoforming, pulping, refining, molding, trimming, and sterilization processes.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Proficiency in operational planning and performance analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
