Job Description

  • Define and execute short- and long-term sourcing strategies (0-5+ years)
  • Build supplier ecosystems for new product development and manufacturing scale-up
  • Drive cost optimization, contract negotiations, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Lead supplier selection, qualification, and quality compliance (including regulated environments)
  • Partner closely with R&D, engineering, and global stakeholders to enable seamless product launches
  • Improve speed-to-market, inventory health, supplier quality, and cost efficiency
  • Lead capacity planning, forecasting, and supply continuity initiatives
  • Manage and mentor sourcing teams (including commodity managers)
  • Establish sourcing processes in a greenfield / build-from-scratch environment

The Successful Applicant

A successful NPI Sourcing professional should have:

  • 8-15+ years of experience in strategic sourcing / supply chain, especially in NPI or product development environments in automotive, aerospace, electronics, or other high-precision manufacturing sectors
  • Background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Strong experience in supplier management, negotiations, and cost optimization
  • Exposure to regulated environments (FDA / quality-driven industries)
  • Proven track record in global manufacturing and complex supply chains
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
