A 10-15 year experienced automotive production leader who has managed high-volume shopfloor operations, preferably across assembly and electrical/mechatronic manufacturing processes, with strong ownership of OEE, productivity, scrap, quality, safety, Lean/Kaizen and large production teams.

Job Description

  • Lead end-to-end production operations across assembly, injection moulding and end-of-line testing to meet safety, quality, delivery and productivity targets.
  • Develop and execute production plans aligned with customer demand while optimizing manpower, equipment and material utilization.
  • Drive shop-floor performance through OEE, output efficiency, scrap reduction, 5S, visual management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and develop production teams, ensuring skill development, safety compliance and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics and other functions to resolve production issues and improve process capability.
  • Drive Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma and structured problem-solving initiatives including 8D and 7QC tools to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Electronics, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline, with 10-15 years of production management experience within automotive or automotive component manufacturing. Candidates should have strong exposure to assembly and processes such as injection moulding, servo pressing, coil winding, PU potting, heat treatment and electrical testing, along with experience managing production teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, OEE, 5S, 8D, 7QC tools and automotive quality systems such as IATF 16949 is expected. Exposure to SAP would be an advantage.
