Job Description

  • Lead end-to-end logistics operations across plants, warehouses, and project sites.
  • Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of fabricated steel structures and project materials.
  • Develop logistics strategies aligned with business growth and project requirements.
  • Manage transportation planning for inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with transporters and logistics partners.
  • Optimize freight costs through route planning, load maximization, and network efficiency.
  • Plan and execute logistics for large-scale PEB and infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate closely with project execution teams to align dispatch schedules with installation plans.
  • Manage movement of oversized and critical steel components.
  • Drive logistics KPIs, dashboards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, planning, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Develop SOPs, policies, and best practices for logistics operations.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing logistics team.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Operations Management.
  • MBA in Supply Chain Management or Operations preferred.
  • 15-20 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or project logistics.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience managing large-scale logistics operations.
  • Strong experience in steel, PEB, construction materials, EPC, infrastructure, manufacturing, or industrial projects.
  • Expertise in transportation management, freight optimization, warehouse coordination, and project logistics.
  • Strong understanding of oversized cargo movement and critical project deliveries.
  • Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Advanced analytical skills with excellent proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Proven vendor management, negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
