Job Description

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements with customers, vendors and strategic partners.
  • Advising business teams on legal and commercial risks associated with technology and consulting engagements.
  • Supporting international contracting activities across key markets including Europe, the UK, US and Middle East.
  • Providing guidance on privacy and data protection matters, including GDPR and other applicable regulations.
  • Advising on intellectual property matters and associated contractual protections.
  • Monitoring developments relating to AI regulation, including the EU AI Act and emerging global frameworks.
  • Supporting governance, compliance and risk management initiatives.
  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across business and corporate functions.
  • Mentoring and developing junior legal professionals within the wider legal team.

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified lawyer with approximately 15-20 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Strong experience in commercial contracting gained within technology, IT services, software, consulting or related sectors.
  • Proven experience managing international contracts across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Exposure to European contracting environments, particularly civil law jurisdictions such as Germany, Austria and France, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of privacy regulations, including GDPR and emerging AI regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a collaborative, agile environment with a relatively flat hierarchy.
