Job Description

  • Give clear legal advice to business teams on commercial matters.
  • Review, draft and negotiate contracts to protect business interests.
  • Help teams understand legal terms before they enter into agreements.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to resolve legal queries in a practical way.
  • Manage external legal advisers when specialist input is needed.
  • Keep contract records organised and easy to access.
  • Identify legal issues early and suggest workable options.
  • Support legal projects that improve how the business manages contracts.

The Successful Applicant

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience giving practical legal advice to business teams.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Confidence explaining legal points in clear, simple language.
  • Ability to manage several legal matters and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Experience working with internal teams and external legal advisers.
  • Good judgement when assessing legal issues and options.
