The AGM-Legal will be responsible for managing legal functions and ensuring compliance within the Automotive Industry. This role requires a strong understanding of legal frameworks and the ability to provide strategic legal guidance for the Industrial / Manufacturing sector.

Job Description

  • Oversee legal compliance across operations within the Automotive Industry.



Contract Management & Commercial Advisory

Supervise drafting, review and negotiation of:

*Supply and procurement contracts

*Vendor agreements

*Technology transfer/License agreements

*Dealer and distribution agreements

*NDAs, consultancy agreements, service contracts

*Manufacturing and logistics contracts

*Standardize contract templates and improve turnaround time.

*Support implementation of contract lifecycle management systems (CLM).

*Ensure risk-balanced contracting aligned with company policies.

Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the Automotive Industry.*Commercial disputes

*Consumer litigation

*Dealer disputes

*Vendor and supply chain disputes

*Regulatory proceedings

*Labour & employment matters

*Tax and indirect tax matters (in coordination

The Successful Applicant

A successful AGM-Legal should have:

  • A degree in law from a recognised institution.
  • Proven experience in legal roles, preferably in the Automotive or Industrial / Manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage legal disputes and liaise with external legal counsel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to provide strategic legal advice to senior management.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory changes.
