Our client is a reputed and leading NBFC with Pan India presence focusing on consumer and commercial lending solutions

Job Description

  • Provide strategic legal advisory and leadership to support the company's business goals, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks and corporate governance standards.
  • Lead complex legal transactions across multiple Lines of Business (LOBs) and ensure timely closure while mitigating risks.
  • Handle transactions end-to-end with the help of external counsels
  • Spearhead the legal aspects of strategic partnerships with digital lending partners, including FinTech companies and NBFCs.
  • Draft and negotiate partnership agreements and co-lending arrangements, ensuring compliance with RBI digital lending guidelines.
  • Manage external legal counsel engagements and ensure effective handling of complex legal matters.
  • Should have good knowledge of NBFCs Regulations, Master Directions and other Applicable Laws regulating the financial sector.
  • Should have good knowledge of Companies Act, FEMA, Transfer of Property Act, Stamp Act, Registration Act, Indian Contract Act and other laws involved in day to day work.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum qualification required is LL.B. from a reputed institute. LLM & CS would be a plus
  • Minimum experience of 15+ years in managerial role (law firm or NBFC or Bank)
  • In-depth knowledge of banking and NBFC business operations, particularly in partnership-driven models
  • In-depth knowledge of Private Equity and Capital Market transactions
  • Good interpersonal skills, Leadership quality, Problem Solving approach, and be a Team Player
