This role leads the establishment and growth of the client's India‑based technology and R&D organization, building world‑class software development capabilities that serve as a core pillar of the company's global operations. The leader will own end‑to‑end delivery of India‑originated tech initiatives while overseeing multi‑disciplinary teams and acting as the single point of accountability for all technology functions in the region.

Job Description

  • Build and scale India as an end‑to‑end technology and innovation ownership hub, driving locally conceived and globally integrated projects.
  • Lead a large, multi‑disciplinary technology organisation, serving as the single point of accountability for all tech operations in India.
  • Oversee software, pipeline, product development, and R&D while ensuring continuity, stability, and efficient day‑to‑day delivery.
  • Implement robust processes, optimise productivity, and proactively resolve operational risks, leveraging AI and automation where valuable.
  • Shape India's long‑term technology strategy by recruiting top talent, creating scalable development frameworks, and partnering closely with global leadership.

The Successful Applicant

  • 14+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology-first organizations
  • Built expertise in delivering innovative, AI-driven software platforms across majority of the career
  • Proven track record of managing large teams, 300+ people preferred
  • Proven success in building or scaling cost‑effective technology development centers and establishing sustainable offshore/nearshore operations
  • Experience creating high‑performing distributed teams, global delivery models, and development processes from the ground up
  • Strong understanding of the Indian technology talent market, including effective hiring and retention strategies
