Job Description

  • Develop state and central grid power sourcing strategies aligned with the expansion roadmap.
  • Secure long-term power capacity and establish multi-year availability plans across target markets.
  • Lead HV/EHV grid connectivity, substation and transmission infrastructure planning.
  • Own power applications, sanctions, regulatory approvals and energization processes.
  • Build strategic relationships with DISCOMs, transmission utilities, SLDCs, regulators and government stakeholders.
  • Optimize energy costs through tariff analysis, open access, procurement and commercial strategies.
  • Drive renewable energy adoption, PPA structuring and energy storage opportunities.
  • Ensure scalable, resilient power infrastructure capable of supporting hyperscale and AI-ready facilities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience: 15-25 years across power utilities, transmission, DISCOMs, renewable energy, energy infrastructure or large industrial power projects.
  • Demonstrated success securing high-capacity utility connections and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
  • Strong expertise in HV/EHV systems, transmission and distribution, substations, grid interconnection and power system studies.
  • Experience in power procurement, open access, regulatory affairs, utility engagement and transmission planning.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy, PPA structuring, BESS/energy storage, ESG and power cost optimization.
  • Strong relationships and engagement experience with electricity boards, DISCOMs, transmission utilities, load dispatch centres and regulators.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's in Power Systems/Energy Engineering or MBA preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, strategic planning, cross-functional leadership and executive stakeholder management skills.
