Job Description

  • Lead end-to-end execution of greenfield manufacturing projects from concept to commercial production.
  • Drive operational performance across wire drawing, heat treatment, coating, galvanizing, and finishing processes.
  • Establish manufacturing systems, SOPs, quality frameworks, and best practices across plants.
  • Oversee production planning, capacity utilization, productivity, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Manage multi-plant operations and ensure achievement of business targets related to quality, delivery, cost, and safety.
  • Lead commissioning of new equipment, technology implementation, and process stabilization.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, safety, and quality management systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering, projects, supply chain, maintenance, and commercial functions to deliver business objectives.
  • Develop leadership capability and succession pipelines across manufacturing teams.
  • Monitor key operational metrics including OEE, yield improvement, energy efficiency, and waste reduction.
  • Support new product development and scaling of specialized wire products.

The Successful Applicant

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Production Engineering or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • 18+ years of experience in steel wire, wire products, wire rope, specialty wires, or related manufacturing industries.
  • Strong expertise in wire drawing, heat treatment, galvanizing/coating, pickling, and wire finishing operations.
  • Demonstrated success in setting up greenfield or brownfield manufacturing facilities.
