Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Head of Manufacturing Engineering will be responsible for shaping and executing the manufacturing engineering strategy while driving large-scale operational improvement and capacity expansion initiatives.

Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Leadership, the candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading the redesign and optimisation of manufacturing layouts to improve material flow, productivity, safety, operational efficiency and reduce complexity
  • Developing and implementing capacity expansion plans to support significant business growth.
  • Leading Lean Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Six Sigma, and operational excellence programmes across the organisation - standarising processes
  • Managing high-impact transformation projects from concept through implementation.
  • Acting as a change leader by influencing stakeholders and driving adoption of new systems, processes, and ways of working.
  • Collaborating closely with operations, quality, supply chain, maintenance, production planning, NPI, and engineering teams to deliver sustainable improvements.

The Successful Applicant

Key requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience within Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Operations Excellence, or related functions.
  • Experience within electronics manufacturing, EMS, automotive, industrial manufacturing, or other complex high-mix manufacturing environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Industrial Engineering principles, and project management methodologies.
  • Adept in leading capacity expansion, business scaling, plant transformation, greenfield, or brownfield projects.
