This role leads the Industrial Relations function, driving labour strategy, union engagement, compliance and workforce governance across a large, multi-location infrastructure platform.It requires a senior IR leader (10-12 + years of minimum experience) who can ensure legal compliance, maintain industrial harmony and proactively manage workforce risks.

Job Description

  • Lead the Industrial Relations function and align IR strategy with business and operational needs
  • Manage union relationships
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws (including new labour codes) and statutory requirements
  • Handle industrial disputes, grievances and disciplinary processes end-to-end
  • Drive contract labour governance and ensure compliance across vendors and contractors
  • Implement IR policies, frameworks and governance mechanisms across all locations
  • Partner with operations and leadership teams to ensure workforce stability and productivity
  • Identify and mitigate IR risks, including potential disruptions (strikes, unrest, etc.)
  • Strengthen employee engagement and industrial harmony across a largely contractual workforce

The Successful Applicant

  • A seasoned IR leader with minimum 10+ years of experience managing large, multi-location workforces, ideally within infrastructure, manufacturing, logistics, construction or similar sectors.
  • Strong expertise in labour laws, union management, dispute resolution and IR governance, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate independently in complex, on-ground environments.
