Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsHigh-impact role with direct leadership exposureBuild and transform the HR functionAbout Our ClientOur client is a well-established B2B technology and IT infrastructure organisation.Job DescriptionBuild and professionalise the HR function, establishing scalable policies, processes, governance and HR systems.Drive the transition from a largely promoter-led environment towards a more accountable, performance-driven and professionally managed culture.Partner closely with the promoters and senior leadership on organisation design, workforce planning, talent strategy and organisational effectiveness.Own talent acquisition across levels, with particular focus on senior and leadership hiring.Strengthen the performance management framework through clear goals, KPIs, appraisal mechanisms and performance accountability.Review and strengthen compensation, variable pay, benchmarking, rewards and retention practices.Build structured employee engagement, communication and recognition initiatives.Strengthen managerial capability through learning, development and leadership interventions.Oversee HR operations, payroll, compliance, employee relations and grievance management.Evaluate and implement appropriate HR technology/HRMS solutions to improve automation and HR effectiveness.Lead and develop the existing HR team while defining clear roles, responsibilities and performance expectations.Establish succession planning and talent identification processes to build a stronger leadership pipeline.The Successful Applicant12-18 years of progressive HR experience, with strong exposure to generalist HR and people leadership.MBA / PGDM in HR or an equivalent qualification preferred.Ideally brings experience working across both promoter-driven and professionally managed organisations.Should have demonstrated experience in building, professionalising or significantly transforming an HR function.Strong experience across talent acquisition, performance management, compensation & rewards, employee engagement, HR operations and organisational development.Experience working closely with promoters, founders, business owners or senior leadership teams would be highly relevant.Should be comfortable operating in a hands-on environment, building processes rather than inheriting a completely mature HR ecosystem.Strong change-management capability, with the ability to influence managers and create greater ownership and accountability across the organisation.Candidates from technology, IT infrastructure, engineering, manufacturing, industrial technology, electronics or allied sectors would be preferred.Should be comfortable working from office in Mumbai, five days a week.What's on OfferOpportunity to build and shape the HR function rather than simply manage an established setup.High-visibility role working directly with the promoters and senior leadership team.Competitive compensationOpportunity to create HR systems and processes that can support the organisation's next phase of growth.Quote job refJN-102026-7118315Job summaryFunctionHuman ResourcesSub SectorHR DirectorWhat is your area of specialisation?Technology & TelecomsLocationMumbaiJob TypePermanentJob ReferenceJN-102026-7118315
