This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, multinational environment where finance plays a critical role in driving business performance and compliance.Job DescriptionThe Head of Finance will serve as a key member of the India leadership team and will be responsible for establishing and strengthening the Finance function across the organisation.Key responsibilities include:Leading all aspects of finance operations, governance, and financial management for the India GCC.Driving accurate and timely financial reporting, month-end and year-end close processes, and controllership activities.Ensuring compliance with Indian statutory, tax, regulatory, and audit requirements including GST, TDS, corporate tax, and Companies Act obligations.Establishing a strong internal control environment, risk management framework, and governance processes.Leading budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance management activities.Providing strategic financial insights and decision support to senior leadership, Board members, and global stakeholders.Managing treasury, cash flow planning, banking relationships, payroll accounting, AP/AR, and outsourced finance activities.Driving finance transformation initiatives including process standardisation, automation, digitisation, and operating model optimisation.The Successful ApplicantExperienceQualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with significant post-qualification experience.Typically 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior finance leadership roles.Proven experience leading finance functions within multinational, matrixed, or global organisations.Experience managing statutory financial reporting, audits, taxation, compliance, and governance.Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing finance teams.Technical ExpertiseStrong knowledge of:Indian GAAP and statutory accounting requirementsDirect and indirect taxation (GST, TDS, Corporate Tax)Financial controls, risk management, and governanceBudgeting, forecasting, and financial planningAudit and regulatory complianceTreasury and cash managementPreferred ExperienceInsurance, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.Global Capability Centres (GCCs), captive centres, or shared services environments.Finance transformation, process improvement, and operating model redesign initiatives.Managing outsourced finance operations and external professional service providers.Working with global finance teams and Board-level stakeholders.EducationChartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.Additional professional finance certifications would be advantageous.Leadership AttributesStrategic thinker with a hands-on approach.Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.High integrity, sound judgement, and strong governance mindset.Able to balance operational execution with long-term transformation.Comfortable challenging senior stakeholders constructively while maintaining strong relationships.Relevant professional qualifications like CA, CPA, or equivalent.What's on OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities to lead and make a strategic impact.Engaging role in the insurance sector.If you're interested, feel free to apply for the role.Quote job refJN-082026-7088428Job summaryFunctionFinance & AccountingSub SectorChartered AccoutingWhat is your area of specialisation?Financial ServicesLocationGurgaonJob TypePermanentJob ReferenceJN-082026-7088428
