Industrial & Employee Relations LeadershipOwn end-to-end ER strategy for the entire site (7-8 plants, thousands of employees).Establish a stable, long-term industrial relations framework aligned to business growth.Lead union engagement, negotiations, and settlements (wage agreements, charters, productivity deals).Proactively manage employee sentiment, grievances, and dispute resolution.2. Union & Workforce ManagementAct as the single point of leadership interface with recognized unions, workers' committees, and external labor bodies.Drive constructive engagement models (joint forums, consultative committees).Handle collective bargaining, wage revisions, and productivity-linked agreements.Prepare and manage strike prevention, contingency planning, and crisis response3. Compliance & Statutory GovernanceEnsure 100% compliance with central and state labor laws, including:Industrial Disputes ActFactories ActContract Labour ActStanding OrdersSocial security & wage codesManage inspections, audits, and interactions with labor departments and statutory authorities.Oversee contract labor governance across all plants and vendors.4. Multi-Plant ER GovernanceCreate common ER policies, SOPs, and playbooks across all plants while respecting local nuances.Standardize disciplinary processes, misconduct handling, and domestic inquiries.Mentor and develop plant-level ER teams to ensure consistency and maturity.Drive early warning systems for ER risks across units.5. Productivity, Culture & Change EnablementPartner with Operations and Manufacturing leadership to:Support new plant commissioning and manpower ramp-upEnable shift changes, automation, new skill deploymentDrive behavioral and cultural alignment in a high-discipline, safety-critical battery environment.Support change programs related to:DigitizationWorkforce restructuringContractor rationalization6.
