Job Description

  • Lead and manage electrical instrumentation and automation functions to ensure efficient operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies for maintaining and improving automation systems within the manufacturing setup.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to machinery, stamping, and machining processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize energy usage and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of electrical and automation equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational guidelines within the metal industry.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for automation and instrumentation systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to the team for skill development and operational excellence.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head Electrical. Instrumentation and Automation should have:

  • A degree in Electrical engineering with at least 20 yrs of work experience
  • Should have experience in execution of electrical projects of integrated steel plant which includes Blast furnace, Sinter plant, coke oven, pellet plant, BOF.
  • Should have conversant with new technological development.
  • Should have a thorough knowledge of latest automation technologies (including Level 2) and digitization. Should have handle multiple projects and O&M experience
  • Proven experience in managing electrical instrumentation in a manufacturing setup.
  • Strong understanding of energy efficiency and compliance standards in the industrial sector.
  • Leadership skills to manage and guide a team effectively.
  • Problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.
