Our client is a fast-growing fintech organisation operating within India's evolving FinTech ecosystem. As the regulatory landscape continues to evolve, the organisation is looking to strengthen its governance and compliance capabilities through the appointment of a seasoned Head of Compliance.

Working closely with the founders and executive leadership team, this individual will play a critical role in ensuring robust regulatory compliance, risk governance and stakeholder management while enabling business growth.

Job Description

The Head of Compliance will be responsible for leading and strengthening the organisation's compliance framework, including:

  • Acting as the primary compliance leader for all regulatory and governance matters.
  • Driving compliance with RBI regulations, payment industry guidelines, and applicable financial services regulations.
  • Leading regulatory interactions and managing relationships with RBI and other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Advising founders and senior leadership on regulatory developments and potential business impacts.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate for this role should have:

  • CA, CS, LLB, MBA, or other relevant professional qualification.
  • 10+ years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, risk, governance, or financial services control functions.
  • Deep understanding of RBI regulations and the broader Indian financial services regulatory environment.
  • Prior experience managing regulatory interactions and inspections.
