Job Description

  • Own and drive the India commercial strategy aligned with regional and global priorities
  • Manage and optimize a partner-led commercial model, ensuring delivery of sales, and long-term growth
  • Lead new product launches end-to-end in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Act as the key interface between global teams and local partners, ensuring seamless execution
  • Drive performance through KPI tracking, governance, and structured alliance management
  • Identify market trends, generate insights, and translate them into strategic action plans
  • Resolve operational challenges and ensure effective escalation with partners
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and ethical standards at all times
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, and Compliance

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Commercial - Associate Director should have:

  • 10+ years of experience inpharma commercial, business development, or alliance management ( Preferably with experience in rare diseases)
  • Strong experience working in a partner-led / distributor-driven commercial model (must-have)
  • Proven track record of launching products in India from scratch
  • Ability to operate as a high-impact individual contributor with strong ownership
  • Experience managing partnerships, licensing, and supply agreements
  • Strong influencing skills within matrix and non-hierarchical environments
