Reporting into the engineering leadership team, you will take end-to-end ownership of the camera stack for next-generation robotic platforms built on NVIDIA Tegra architecture. This is a highly hands-on role operating at the intersection of embedded systems, camera hardware, Linux software, perception, and robotics.

Job Description

Reporting into the engineering leadership team, the candidate will take end-to-end ownership of the camera stack comprising of multiple camera systems, ISP Pipelines and discover new platforms for general purpose automation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning the complete camera lifecycle, including camera selection, integration, enablement, calibration, validation, maintenance, and production readiness.
  • Partnering with camera vendors and hardware suppliers to define requirements covering sensors, optics, synchronization, latency, image quality, thermal performance, mechanical constraints, and calibration standards.
  • Developing and maintaining low-level camera software, sensor configuration, camera drivers, device tree modifications, camera control interfaces, metadata management, and timestamp handling.
  • Driving camera bring-up activities and debugging issues across hardware and software layers, including MIPI CSI-2, GMSL, FPD-Link, power sequencing, I2C communication, frame corruption, ISP behaviour, and bandwidth limitations.
  • Collaborating closely with robotics, perception, embedded software, electrical engineering, and external partners to develop a production-ready camera ecosystem.

The Successful Applicant

  • Education: Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience with embedded camera systems, driver development, and hardware validation.
  • Understanding of camera hardware interfaces and modifying camera drivers
  • Strong knowledge of real-time vision systems, including synchronization, latency optimisation, buffering strategies, scheduling, and dropped-frame analysis.
  • Experience with multi-camera systems, hardware triggering, PTP, PPS, camera-IMU synchronization, or related precision timing mechanisms.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using logs, kernel tracing, profiling tools, oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and validation frameworks.
  • Experience with NVIDIA Tegra platforms and camera integration



This is new team being established and hence foundational understanding is paramount to the role
